036000291452 is a 12-digit UPC-A example with check digit.
03600029145 is an 11-digit value where the generator can calculate the check digit.
Use digits only. Letters, spaces, and punctuation are not valid UPC-A content.

Common UPC-A errors

UPC-A is for numeric product identifiers, not internal mixed text IDs.
Do not invent retail UPCs for products that will enter stores or marketplaces.
If your number is 13 digits, you probably need EAN-13.
If you need internal stock labels, use Code 128 instead.
